Welcome to the Friends of Waveland Homepage!

The Friends of Waveland is a 501 c3 non-profit organization whose purpose is to promote and assist Waveland State Historic Site in Lexington, Kentucky.  Waveland was the 19th century home of the Bryan Family, a related line to the Boone Family.

A tour of the museum includes the restored Mansion, Slave Quarters, Smoke House, Ice House and now a 19th century garden.  There are plans to rebuild the blacksmith shop, which will be interpreted for schools groups and special events.

Summer tour times are as follows:    Monday through Saturday at 10am; 11am; 12pm; 1pm; 2pm; 3pm; and 4pm Sunday at 1pm; 2pm; 3pm; and 4pm.   Tours start promptly on the hour.  The average tour time is about 45 minutes.  Groups are welcome.  For group reservations, please call at least a month in advance.  The office is open Monday through Friday 9am to 4pm and can be reached at 859-272-3611.
