Something Like a Battle
Flemingsburg, KY., Nov. 22. - Samuel Carpenter, a reputable stock-dealer, who has just returned from Morgan County, gives the following particulars of a fight in that county Sunday. The locality is White Oak, which is very far removed from telegraphic communication: There has been a feud between the McKenzie and Risener families for years, and armed parties from both sides met Sunday afternoon, and at a range of sixty yards exchanged from seventy-five to one hundred shots, and describes the noise as approaching a battle. Only one shot was effective, that striking one of the Risener party in the shoulder.
