This pair of musicians are probably part, or all of a minstrel troupe, judging from the banjo and the bones. This banjo was likely a common, and massed produced instrument. There is nothing particular that sets it apart. The banjo could have been made anywhere from the early 1860s to the late 1870s; their clothing would suggest the image was taken in 1870s.
