Another rare image, this shows a black minstrel troupe performing in a Federal camp during the Civil War.  Not much can be told about this banjo, but the line-up includes a bones player, two guitars, a banjo and a tambo player. While most minstrels of the period were white men who donned burnt cork, these performers are actually black.
