Judge Savage, Commonwealth's Attorney Kenner, and Jacob Emmons, of Boyd County who went to Frankfort
Tuesday to urge Governor Knott not to commute the sentence of William Neal to imprisonment for life in
accordance with the petitions sent him to that effect. Governor Knott assured them that after five juries had
found Neal guilty he did not feel disposed to interfere, and that Neal must swing in accordance with his
sentence.
