From the Kentucky Gazette (Lexington), February 14, 1885
Wm. Caskey, the desperado who murdered James Lindon, in Wolfe County, January 22, and for whom a reward
of $425 was offered by Governor Knott and friends of Lindon was captured in Letcher County on the 4th inst.,
and returned to Hazelgreen on the 5th, where he will, under the protection of a heavy guard, have his examining
trial.
